Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims RSC Anderlecht are eyeing up a loan swoop for the club starlet Liam Delap.
The teenage striker was instrumental in City winning the U-23 league last season, scoring 24 goals and assisted 5 in a sensational year for the youngster.
The 18-year-old striker, who is one of City’s most exciting youth prospects, has been promised a place in Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad next season after scoring a record 24 goals in Premier League 2 – and is a genuinely exciting prospect.
According to Belgian outlet Walfoot, Anderlecht are interested in signing Delap from the Premier League champions on loan ahead of the start of the new season.
The Belgian Pro League club are expected to sit down with Man City and Delap over talks soon, but are aware that it is not easy to get the deal over the line, the report adds.
Delap has a contract with Manchester City running until 2023 and the English champions are keen to extend it before sanctioning a loan move for him.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.

If we do sign a striker then it might be a good chance for Liam to develop

Many fans are quite optimistic about him which I can’t blame, but I think Pep would rather play false nine again than to play Delap against teams like Liverpool or Chelsea

Send him to an English club if we are intent on loaning him
