Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report to yet another update on Jack Grealish‘s potential move to the Etihad.
The Aston Villa skipper is one of the players Manchester City is considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
The 25-year-old, who only signed a new five-year deal with the club in September, has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and it is thought he is keen to step up to the next level sooner rather than later.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels following his impressive season and is poised to move to the Etihad Stadium.
Aston Villa are reportedly prepared to ward off interest from Pep Guardiola’s side by offering their captain a new contract less than a year after they handed him a new deal worth £125,000 a week.
According to Football Insider, the premier league champions are lining up a British record £90million bid for the Aston Villa star man, which would be more than the £89.5million Man United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba in 2016, which remains the highest by a Premier League club.
The reports adds that there has been talk of a £100m valuation, but it may not take as much as that to lure the England international from the Midlands giants.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
