Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have tabled a £100m bid for Aston Villa and England midfielder Jack Grealish.
The 25-year-old has been a primary target for the Citizens this summer as they aim to flex their muscles in the transfer market.
Villa do not want to sell Grealish, and have offered him a new and improved contract to try to persuade him that his future lies at Villa Park – despite having four years left on his existing deal which was only signed in September.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently said that Pep Guardiola’s side were in direct talks with Villa over a move for the England international in the current market.
According to the The Telegraph, Manchester City have stepped up their pursuit of Jack Grealish by tabling a British transfer record bid of £100m for the Aston Villa playmaker.
If agreed, Grealish would eclipse Paul Pogba’s £89.6m move as British transfer record
Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of the 25-year-old and have also been linked with Grealish’s England team-mate Harry Kane and have already had one £100m bid rejected by Tottenham.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

We have players better than grealish in our squad
If grealish could stay fit whole season…he’d be worth it…trust me. That’s a big if

Manchester City have yet to respond, it clear Villa do not want to sell their talisman.
The Daily Star report that chiefs at Villa Park have made a last ditch attempt to keep Grealish in the midlands.
Villa owners Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris are said to have personally sanctioned a £200,000-a-week contract as they scramble to keep their talisman at his boyhood club.
