Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola has requested the club to negotiate a transfer for Erling Haaland with Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak prepared to pay £130 million for the Norwegian.

The Premier League champions are in the market for a forward to replace Sergio Agüero, who left the club after a ten-year spell in Manchester but Harry Kane has been their top target in the ongoing transfer window.

The Premier League champions are thought to be have made a £100m offer for the England captain but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.

Haaland is also among their targets, even though Borussia Dortmund want to keep hold of the Norwegian until next summer.

According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak is ready to pay £130 million for the 20 year-old and that Pep Guardiola has requested the club meet with Dortmund.

The Norwegian talisman is believed to be Chelsea’s number one transfer target before the new Premier League season as they looks to bring in a new poacher.

Konur also reported Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich are taking part in those talks with Dortmund as he tried to convince the striker to move. The Blues are making space in the squad by moving out Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud while adding to their massive outlay from last summer.

It’s been reported that Haaland’s release clause, which becomes active in 2022, is in the region of £68m – but Chelsea and City are said to not be keen on waiting until then to make a move for the young prodigy.

Haaland, who is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world right now, has bagged a staggering 57 goals in 59 matches for Dortmund since joining from RB Salzburg in January 2020.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
