A lot of Manchester City supporters have been reacting on social media as Puma confirmed they will launch the club’s new edition of their 2021/22 third kits in a special presentation on the official YouTube channel dubbed “Puma – The Show”.
For the first time, the Puma 21-22 third uniforms feature a single streamlined template and style across all of them.
As seen on the away jerseys of Puma’s 21-22 national teams, the new Puma 21-22 club third kits have the team names in big between two horizontal lines on the front. On the front of all the Puma 21-22 third kits is a sublimated pattern with the team’s crests.
According to Footy Headlines, the 21-22 third kits of Manchester City, AC Milan, PSV, Olympique Marseille, Shakhtar, Krasnodar, Fenerbahce, Gladbach, Stade Rennais and Valencia will be unveiled on August 18th, 7PM CEST
With the idea of global designs for its third jersey, Puma is not first. Nike has been doing this for several years, and Adidas is doing it as well. Puma’s recent reason kits, however, also had a streamlined design language.
Based on the streamlined design, the Puma Manchester City 21-22 third shirt features the club name instead of the crest.
It boasts the lettering Man City on the front, surrounded by two sky blue lines. All other logos are white.
Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about this new third kits…
