Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted the club has ‘limits’ as Manchester City eye their second triple-figure summer signing.
Pep Guardiola’s men have hardly rested on their laurels this summer, adding Jack Grealish to a squad already blessed with considerable talent and are readying another bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, a move that would astonish Klopp.
The Liverpool boss admitted that the potential addition of Harry Kane to Manchester City’s squad would make the side stronger but was keen to note how successful Liverpool have been despite “our limits”.
“They obviously don’t have any limits, but we were quite successful given our limits in the last two years, and that is what we should try again,” the German was quoted as saying by the Express.
“We will not use it as an excuse. If Harry [Kane] is going to Man City, that would not make them worse! So that’s incredible.
‘Manchester City still won the premier league but not exactly what they wanted. That is the situation. There are different things you can do in football. It is no criticism at all…”
“[But] we are Liverpool, with a specific way we have, the support of our fans, we can create an atmosphere nobody else can – I’m 100 per cent that is the truth.”
This Klopp’s claim has prompt plenty of Sky Blues to react on social media, with many appearing baffled by the liverpool Manager’s comments.
He’s on about us again? 🤪

It's easy. Win the league, get to the CL final, Win the cup and receive bonuses. Then, have a sound business strategy where you make a profit, then sell players. If we sell BS, that will take received sales to 120 million, including the Sancho sell-on fee. That's how we can do it
