Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Aston Villa were willing to pay Jack Grealish more than he has been offered to stay at the club.
Multiple reports say that Aston Villa captain is close to a move to the Etihad Stadium after the club’s £100m offer to Villa.
The Aston Villa skipper, 25, flew north on Wednesday night to seal his British-record move and will have a medical this morning, before signing a deal worth over £200,000 per week.
And according to Karveh Solhekol, Villa made it particularly difficult for Grealish to leave, despite not standing in his way of an exit.
The Sky Sports reporter claims the midfielder was ‘absolutely torn’ on whether to leave for City, but has now decided to go ahead with the move.
According to Sky Sports, Villa made it difficult by offering Grealish more than he is set to earn at Manchester City in a bid to convince him to stay.
The report adds thats the England International wants to win major trophies, Villa accept this decision and wish him well.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
Wished Daniel Levy would do thesame about Harry Kane’s situation.
