Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is considering a move for French defender Theo Hernandez, with PSG also keen on the left-back.

The 23-year-old French defender, who is also the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain, still has three years left for his AC Milan contract to run out.

Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato earlier this week reported that the Frenchman is attracting interest from Manchester City and PSG as he continues to impress in Serie A with AC Milan.

According to the Sun, Man City want a new left-back with Benjamin Mendy suspended by the club, and AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez – rated at £68M by the Serie A side – is being closely monitored.

The interest from Manchester City makes a lot of sense, considering Benjamin Mendy seems to have played his final game for the club amid a criminal case against him.

Left back has been an issue for City for a few years now, with Mendy suffering injury after injury and has not lived up to his £52million price-tag since arriving at City.

Their only other option at left-back is Oleksandr Zinchenko, for whom it is not a natural position anyway. Nathan Ake could also cover there in theory.

So it would not be a surprise to see the club target Hernandez in upcoming transfer windows, and he looks to be one of the best options available after City missed out on signing Nuno Mendes from Sporting Lisbon on deadline day.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
