Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola is keen on Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz and has had the youngster scouted on numerous occasions.
The creative midfielder, who only turned 18 years of age in May, has established himself as an integral figure in Gerardo Seoane’s starting lineup.
Wirtz contributed with 16 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions for Leverkusen last season and has started the new campaign brightly, scoring five goals and providing four assists in just six matches for the German outfit.
The youngster’s impressive form has alerted several top clubs around Europe, including premier leaque champions Manchester City
That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who says that Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all done the same.
The Bayer Leverkusen teenager will not see his contract expire until June 2026, so Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell such a promising talent.
