‘Yesssss’, ‘Am I dreaming’, ‘Bring him home’ – Many fans excited as Man City dream of signing Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club ‘dream’ of bringing Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic to the Etihad.

The 21-year-old striker was linked with a move to the Etihad as Harry Kane alternative as City were in the market for a prolific striker across the course of the summer transfer window.

Manchester City shortcomings in the number nine department is well-documented, notably missing out on the summer pursuit of Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The €40m-rated striker’s future at Fiorentina is under the scanner with recent outburst in which Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso openly admitted he was angry with the agent has made the situation more tense than before.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport as relay by Sport Witness, the premier league champions ‘dream’ of signing Dusan Vlahovic, amid an ongoing contract wrangle with his club.

The report claims that President Rocco Commisso is ‘angry’ with Vlahovic’s agent Darko Ristic, after months of trying to get the player signed to a new deal.

His contract only runs until 2023 as it stands, so it will not be long before the Italian side must face the harsh reality of having to cash in on their prized asset.

Man City could have some leverage in potential negotiations to sign the dazzling 21-year-old who scored 21 Serie A goals last season and 35 in all competitions since his move to Fiorentina (Transfermarkt).

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

Pep Guardiola’s side seem to be coping fairly well without a senior striker for now, but it is a hole in the squad which could come back to bite them down the line.

Vlahovic has already bagged six goals in his first seven games, fresh off the back of a 21-goal Serie A haul last year which put him just three goals behind Romelu Lukaku.
