‘We’re safe in Jack’s hands’ – Fans reacts as Grealish reveals his Man City frustrations

Jack Grealish has admitted that he has already been left frustrated by failing to turn matches in Manchester City‘s favour this season following his move from Aston Villa.

Grealish joined City in a record-breaking £100million deal from the Midlands outfit last month and has made a steady start to life at the Etihad Stadium, scoring one goal and claiming one assist in his first four appearances.

The England international has started all three of City’s Premier League matches this season, but stepped off the bench as a substitute in the FA Community Shield against Leicester City ahead of the league action getting under way.

Although he played key role in the back-to-back 5-0 wins over Norwich City and Arsenal, the City playmaker has admitted that he was left annoyed with himself after failing to turn the matches against Leicester and Tottenham Hotspur in Pep Guardiola’s side’s favour. City lost both matches by a goal to nil.

Grealish told ITV Sport : “I have had games at City already where I have come off and I thought ‘I could have changed that game more. That’s why they paid this amount of money for me’.

“That is what the likes of Kevin De Bruyne would do. That is what he does; changes games and flips them on their head. I have had games already – the Community Shield final against Leicester and the first game of the season against Spurs – where I felt like I could have done that.

“But since then, I have had a perfect start to my career [at City].”

Signed for £100million, the levels of expectation on Grealish’s shoulders is huge. Is he going to be expected to be the heartbeat of City’s team and make things happen in every game that he plays in.

These Grealish’s comment has prompt Plenty of Sky Blues to react on Social Media.
