Many Manchester City fans were full of praise for Cole Palmer after the teenage sensation scored his first UEFA Champions League goal on Tuesday evening.
Palmer, 19, drew headlines over the weekend when he followed up a short cameo against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday with a hat-trick in an Under-23s match that same day.
And he continued his momentum by coming off the bench against Club Brugge for the final 25 minutes and scoring his first Champions League goal with a lovely stroke past the goalkeeper.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder scored shortly after coming off the bench as Manchester City eased to a 5-1 victory over Club Brugge.
Palmer found the net via an impressive finish from the edge of the penalty area. This came moments after he had come off the bench for City.
The 19-year-old is only the third teenager to score in the Champions League for City, joining Phil Foden and Kelechi Iheanacho, and is the 10th-youngest English player to ever score in the competition.
Man City fans have been raving about Palmer with the Wythenshawe youngster setting social media alight with his first Champions League goal against Club Brugge.
Here’s what some City fans had to say about Palmer’s goal against Brugge on Twitter…

Palmer’s team-mate, Joao Cancelo, who also got on the scoresheet with the opener, was full of praise for him.
He said: “Cole is a big talent. He is a special player. Phil Foden proves the academy works.
“They are very promising and creating and developing some special nights.”
Guardiola also categorically denied that Palmer would be sent out on loan, saying: “Absolutely not. Today we had 17 players so we don’t have enough. I think he’s going to stay this season with us.”
