Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club’s scouts were present to watch both of Benfica‘s Champions League group-stage ties at home this season.
The Portuguese club has long been a hotbed for talented stars, with scouts across Europe flocking to catch their next generation in action.
Among those casting an eye over proceedings this season have been representatives of Manchester City.
According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo as relayed by Sport Witness, Man City sent an official to Lisbon on Wednesday night to watch Benfica vs Bayern Munich in the Uefa Champions leaque.
The report claims the premier leaque champions have now had a scout present at both of Benfica’s Champions league group stage home games this season.
It is not known who City were there to watch but it must be recalled that the Premier league champions were linked with a move for striker Darwin Nunez in the past.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

And if halaand deal fails,Nuñez is still 2nd choice behind Vlahovic so doesn’t seem realistic unless we actually go for 2 strikers next summer
Possibly looking at Nunez for January window. Then full steam ahead for Haaland in the summer hopefully.

I'd be surprised if it was anyone other than Grimaldo

People quick to discredit Nunez just like they did with Dias…
