Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have step up their game in trying to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Rice is regarded among the best midfielders in the country, with his performances for both West Ham and England having been consistently superb for some time now.

The 22-year-old, whose deal runs out in 2024, was heavily linked with a move away from West Ham during the recently concluded transfer window, but is still at the club.

Earlier last month the Guardian reported that the defending premier league champions were ‘monitoring’ regarding Declan Rice’s future.

Clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea continue to watch the player which the Sun have stated West Ham value at £100 million.

According to a recent report by Roshane Thomas of The Athletic, it’s expected that West Ham will find it incredibly hard to keep a hold of Rice.

Manchester City according to the report have made Declan Rice their top priority to replace Fernandinho who recently made his 250th Premier League appearance.

The Cityzens have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, and with Fernandinho looking like leaving the Etihad at the end of the season, they do need reinforcements in that area.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
