Manchester City hope to set a new English record against Burnley at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
Back to domestic football and a chance to build on good domestic results after impressive performances against Chelsea and Liverpool before the international break, City are just two points off of top spot after seven matches.
The Premier League champions, who currently sit third in the table will be hoping to move top when they host Burnley.
The last four games between Man City and the Clarets at the Etihad Stadium have ended 5-0 to Pep Guardiola’s side – that includes three Premier League meetings and one FA Cup tie.
However, no team in English football has previously ever won five home games in a row against the same opponent by five or more goals.
Man City have already scored five goals in a match on four occasions this season, beating Norwich City and Arsenal 5-0 in the league and putting six past Wycombe Wanderers and RB Leipzig in the EFL Cup and Champions League respectively.
Meanwhile, Burnley are yet to win a Premier League game this season and have only kept one clean sheet in their opening seven fixtures.
