Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Pep Guardiola is interested in signing Toni Kroos from Real Madrid.

The midfielder has only made three appearances for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign due to injury, but he remains an important figure for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Kroos’s contract at the Bernabeu is due to expire in June 2023, though, and Real Madrid are thought to be keen to freshen their midfield during next summer’s transfer window.

According to Catalan publication El Nacional, Guardiola is interested in signing Kroos, who he coached for a season at Bayern Munich in 2013-14.

The German international is considering his future at the Santiago Bernabeu and could seek a final big contract with a move to Manchester City.

The German has scored 22 goals and registered 80 assists in 323 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions, winning two La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns in the process.

With Fernandinho potentially leaving at the end of the season, the 31-year-old vast experience and undoubted quality could be a huge boost.

Midfield options including Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Phil Foden, Grealish and Kroos? Absolutely frightening.
