Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Real Madrid are eyeing Ferran Torres as alternatives to Erling Haaland, if they cannot sign him next summer.
Haaland is set to be at the centre of the big transfer tussle of next summer, with all the big clubs in European football thought to be keen to make their move, including Pep Guardiola’s side.
According to El Nacional as relayed by Sport Witness, Real Madrid have made Ferran Torres ‘one of the priorities’ should they fail to sign Erling Haaland next summer.
However, as per the report, Pep Guardiola is ‘clear’ Torres won’t be going anywhere, and with a contract until 2025, there is no need for Manchester City to sell.
The report claims the defending premier leaque champions value him at around €50M and are ‘very happy’ with his performances.
Madrid have come close to signing Torres on four previous occasions. three of those were during his youth days at Valencia, and his latest performance for Spain will only have drawn more attention to his outstanding promise.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
Either this story is entirely false or #MCFC is delusional. With his age and skill set, his market value as got to be somewhere around €80M or more. https://t.co/s1XYo9JQLS
