Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Barcelona have received the ‘ok’ from Raheem Sterling over a potential move to Spain.
The 26-year-old was linked with the Blaugrana earlier this summer. A swap deal was speculated with Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto among players mentioned.
The England international has struggled to cement his place in Pep Guardiola’s plans as Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish currently occupy the starting positions in the Manchester City attack.
And it appears Barca are keeping tabs on his situation in view to a move in January when the transfer window reopens.
A report earlier this week claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side was prepared to reject any offer for Sterling in the coming window. Yet, it is true that the players desire to move away from the Etihad could play a crucial role.
According to Gabriel Sans reporting for Mundo Deportivo on Friday, The English forward has reportedly given Barcelona his OK, showing his desire to join the Spanish giant in the near future.
The report claims that Raheem Sterling is not looking to renew his Manchester City contract, which expires in 2023, and instead prefers a loan move to Barcelona that includes a ‘mandatory purchase option‘ as part of the deal.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Fake news . The Mancity fan base in Manchester is pushing this narrative. Sterling will stay. I know most of you want him out but he will stay.
