‘Hope he proves us wrong’, ‘Pep doing him dirty’ – Lots of Man City fans react to update on star forward

Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report to another update on the future of Raheem Sterling at the Etihad Stadium.

The 26-year-old struggled for starts under Pep Guardiola last term and has seemingly fallen behind Jack Grealish in the Etihad pecking order since his compatriot’s £100m arrival.

Despite being a key player during the Pep Guardiola era, Sterling has been restricted to four starts and six substitute outings in all competitions this season.

The lack of game time for the 26-year-old has led to speculation regarding his future with his current contract due to expire in 2023.

And it appears Many European clubs notably Barcelona have been keeping tabs on his situation in view to a move in January when the transfer window reopens.

There are continued rumblings from the Spanish press that Barcelona are heavily interested in the England international.

However, according to Rob Dawson for ESPN, Sterling is keen to focus on winning back his place at Man City before deciding whether or not to extend his stay.

The report claims Man City staff have been impressed by the way Sterling has worked in training to adapt to a new No.9 role.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
