Liverpool fans praised Phil Foden for his performance during England’s 5-0 win over Andorra in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The Manchester City forward may not have got on the scoresheet in the victory but put in an eye-catching display at the Estadi Nacional.
The 21-year-old played in a deep-lying playmaker role as part of a central midfield three, and ran the show as the Three Lions cruised, as expected, to a routine win at the Estadi Nacional.
He made three key passes on the night on top of his assist, completed all of his ten long balls and completed all of his five dribbles (FotMob).
His performance from that deeper role had some Liverpool fans purring after the game.
Whilst the Liverpool fans would have found Foden’s performance last week hard to watch, it was a lot different yesterday.
Here is a selection of Liverpool fans praising Foden’s performance yesterday

I hope Real Madrid or someone else decide to take Foden because i don’t think my heart can take him slapping our defence for the next 10-15 years.
