Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez praised Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema pointing out that he deserves to be crowned with the Golden Ball award.
The 33 year old forward scored goals like crazy for Los Blancos during their failed title defence last season before continuing his fine vein of form for France at this summer’s European Championships.
The French international has been involved in 20 goals for club and country this season, with 12 goals and 8 assists.
Benzema contributed strongly with the French national team to crown the European Nations League after beating Spain 2-1 last week.
Speaking on Instagram live, Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez discussed the career of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.
“No words are needed, incredible career, 10 or 11 years as Real Madrid’s number 9 isn’t easy. He deserves it and I’m happy for him, and may he score even more goals and stay at the top even longer.”
These Mahrez’s comment on Benzema has prompt some Real Madrid fans to react on social media.
