A lot of Manchester City supporters have been reacting on social media to leaked details of the club’s home shirt by Puma for 2022-2023.
The 2022-23 home jersey is different from previous seasons as the shirt combines Man City’s traditional sky blue main color with maroon.
As reported by Footy Headlines, the reigning Premier League champions will add a tint of maroon to their sky blue home kit for next year. City have worn the colour before as an away trip in numerous seasons.
Man City never has had a home jersey with maroon branding. However, their kit featured maroon detailing on the socks in the 1960s and 1970s.
Officially, the colors are “Team Light Blue” & “intense Red”. Team Light Blue is the same shade as previous home shirts from Puma.
Whilst the full design of the jersey is yet to be revealed, City fans on social media are already not pleased with the colouring scheme for the 22/23 home kit.
Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about this leaked home shirt by Puma for 2022-2023.
Not that again.

Is this what we’re supposed to dress Haaland in? Absolutely pathetic. No creativity whatsoever.

Oh dear. I hated that combination with our 2019/20 kit

This could look very nice as long as we have the traditional white shorts

Could look good, this Erling guy would look great in it, heard he’s gonna be poster boy of puma too

No but seriously puma just repay us for the kits you’ve produced
reminds me of when we combined with purple, too early to judge, we might like it..

We have a history of maroon on our kits, 2010/11 comes to mind. People judging before they’ve even seen it

Not sure why people are moaning. Maroon is literally a traditional City colour. Always been a part of our colours
