Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is ready to sign Erling Haaland next summer once the release clause kicks in.
After failing to sign a striker in the summer, City have been heavily linked with several frontmen including Haaland since the transfer window closed and today is no different!
The Norwegian goal machine is one of the most exciting young talents in world football at the moment and will surely be earning a big move to one of Europe’s super-clubs before too long, and it may be City are in the strongest position to strike a deal.
There are a host of European clubs interested in Haaland, however, with Manchester City among those weighing up whether to activate the €75m release clause in his contract.
City are keen on Haaland following their failure to land Harry Kane from Spurs. It won’t come as a surprise if the Premier League winners decide to make him a priority, either in January or next summer.
According to Norwegian Football Expert Andreas Korssund, Man City are ready to sign Haaland next summer once the release clause kicks in, and are already planning meetings with Mino Raiola in January.
The Norwegian, who is second only to Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski this season for most goals scored among anybody in the entire world, will see his transfer fee/release clause drop significantly.
There will be competition though for his services, possibly from Real Madrid, and maybe from Liverpool. The link between Haaland and City goes deeper than just City needing a striker. His father, Alf-Inge captained the Blues, so the Haaland family will know all about City.
Haaland is one of the hottest prospects in world football. The man is a bonafide goal machine and whoever is fortunate enough to sign him in the summer will be tipped to dominate European football for the coming years.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Txiki needs to do this after this dreadful summer transfer window

Yes may be City will go for him but doesn’t matter. He wants to go to R. Madrid like Mbappé🇫🇷. If those two guys finally play for Real Madrid…nobody will stop this team. I can see more close Vlahovic🇷🇸 or Núñez🇺🇾 to be honest. For me, don’t need any striker if isn’t Haaland🇳🇴
