Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have no plans to buy or sell during the January transfer window.
The Blues are not planning any deals on the winter window, even though the need for a goalscoring forward has been blindingly evident in several games this season.
The failure to score in other games – Spurs, Southampton, Paris St Germain, and Crystal Palace – has highlighted the hole in the squad left by Aguero’s departure in the summer.
Despite being hampered by the Sergio Aguero-style hole in their squad, the Blues are reportedly not planning any deals on the winter window.
According to Simon Mullock via the Sunday Mirror, at the moment, Man City have no plans to buy or sell during the January transfer window.
With City still in the market for a striker, many expected the club to sign a striker, but their prime targets Harry Kane and Erling Haaland are not expected to leave their clubs in January.
There is no panic at City about the lack of a striker, especially after recent results and performances have been good, and with Ferran Torres set to step up his recovery after being played in that role early in the season.
The use of false nines has reaped rewards in fine performances against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United this season, as well as winning the Premier League for the Blues last season.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, with many fans worried that City will fall in the title race given the lack of a number nine.
So they love seeing our beautiful build up go to waste… *sigh * https://t.co/9li2u8paWu

What if Fiorentina agree to sell Vlahovic in Jan, then what?
— Luke (@Komps4) November 21, 2021
We lay all our eggs in one basket on Haaland & end up missing out because we won’t pay astronomical wages?
I’d prefer guarentee of Vlahovic instead of risk of Haaland. Getting neither would be an absolute disaster.
At least get a striker on loan or something.

Should be all over Vlahovic ffs.
