Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Juventus have made Gabriel Jesus their ‘primary backup target’, should Alvaro Morata decide against joining them permamently next summer.

The 24-year-old is one of the senior players who had been linked with a move away from City during last transfer window.

The Brazilian has reinvigorated his Manchester City career in the past four months starting nine of City’s eleven Premier League fixtures this season and contributing nine goals in 14 appearances.

Juventus are looking to make reinforcements in attack prior to the 2021/21 season and their attention is reportedly on Gabriel Jesus.

According to Caught Offside, the Italian Club have ‘earmarked’ Gabriel Jesus as a potential target in case on-loan Atletico Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata does not join the club next summer.

This season, Jesus has arguably been the surprise package in Guardiola’s team, casting doubts on whether the player himself may have changed his mind on where he sees his future.

Early on in the campaign, Guardiola decided to regard him as a right winger instead of a centre-forward, a positional switch that has seen Jesus score two goals and provide five assists in nine Premier League outings.

If Jesus is happy playing out wide and being the assist-provider rather than the goalscorer, then staying at the Etihad Stadium and playing for the Premier League champions would make sense.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Chief and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
