Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club will not let Raheem Sterling join Barcelona on loan.
Sterling is reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing opportunities at the Etihad Stadium this season and is keen to ply his trade elsewhere, with Barcelona poised to make the deal happen.
90min revealed on Saturday that Sterling have told Pep Guardiola he ‘wants a loan move in January’ as Barcelona are showing an ‘interest’.
However, according to Simon Mullock via the Sunday Mirror, Pep Guardiola’s side will block any attempts from Spanish giants FC Barcelona to lure Raheem Sterling away from the Etihad with just under 18 months left to run on his current deal.
The defending premier leaque champions will not let Raheem Sterling join Barcelona on loan, and will also refuse to listen to any cash offers for the player until the summer unless they can bring in a replacement.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
