‘Aaaah’, ‘Siuuuuu’, ‘Finally’ – Many Man City fans go wild as ‘perfect’ £59.3m claim emerges

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is asking for €70M for Ferran Torres.

At this point, it is well-documented that the Catalan giants’ sporting director, Mateu Alemany, has flown down to Manchester in order to work out a deal with the Premier League champions for the 21-year-old.

It is believed that Barca already have reached a total agreement with the ex-Valencia starlet, but they are some away from finalising a deal with the Citizens.

According to Gerard Romero, City have slapped a €70m (£59.3m) price tag on the player as Begiristain looks to make nearly triple what was originally paid to sign Torres. Barca are only offering €50m (£42.4m), with the Citizens showing no sign of letting their starlet leave Manchester easily.

Sporting director Txiki Begiristain secured his signing in the summer of 2020, with Torres moving to City for an initial £21m, arguably a bargain fee for one of Spain’s most promising stars.

The report states that the agreement from Ferran with Barça is ‘total’ and it is likely he would reduce his salary by a ‘significant margin’.

The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
