Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Newcastle United are weighing up an ambitious move to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola this season, and hasn’t featured in a Premier League fixture since the 5-0 win over Arsenal back in August.
Zinchenko, whose deal with Man City does not expire until 2024, has made just two starts for the defending Premier League champions this season.
The £25.2m-rated Ukrainian international has found first-team minutes difficult to come by since regaining fitness following a calf injury as Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker currently occupy starting positions in Pep Guardiola’s XI.
According to a report from The Northern Echo, there has been ‘talk’ of an ambitious move from Newcastle United for Oleksandr Zinchenko, if the Ukrainian continues to find himself unable to break back into the Man City starting XI.
The report states that Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his options with players with Premier League experience as they look to get themselves out of trouble in the Premier League.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Zinchenko should stay. https://t.co/ind4VlpP9G

We’ve been here before not happening

Shouldn’t go. Delph hasn’t found it easier at Everton. Guardiola gets the best out of Zinny.

Zinchenko deserves to be playing first team football imo just no idea how he could get in over Cancelo atm

Well.. we dont have any LB left except Cancelo.. Txiki wont sell him.. next

He has been in worse situations, lot of clubs wanted him but he always stayed
— jony (@sanjencs) November 22, 2021
His heart is here, i think he will stay unless we push him out of the club, which I dont think will happen
If Newcastle come in for Zinchenko, we better not ask any less than £60m.

Loan spell would be good for him there

Let him go. He has zero pace. We need Theo Hernandez.
