Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Erling Haaland is extremely keen to land at the Santiago Bernabeu, but is yet to make up his mind.
The Borussia Dortmund’s striker is reportedly Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9 after the departure of Sergio Aguero last summer.
The Norwegian has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market since making his breakthrough at Red Bull Salzburg a couple of years ago.
Haaland, who remains under contract with the Black and Yellow until 2024, has already netted 13 goals in 10 appearances for Dortmund this term despite injury concerns.
Such remarkable progress in Germany has invariably put the Norwegian goal machine on the radars of many European football clubs, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid among his suitors.
According to the information of Mario Cortegana at Goal, Erling Haaland has told his entourage a move to Real Madrid ‘holds the greatest appeal’, however he has yet to make a final decision on his future.
The report claims Haaland is ‘attracted by English football’ because of the style and him being the ‘headliner’ at a club. However, the latter idea is ‘not the most important’.
This future plans of Erling Haaland will come as a significant blow to Manchester City’s hopes of signing the Borussia Dortmund striker in 2022.

If he thinks playing in a crap league is has a better Appel than us let’s not waste our time
— Jack Grealish JR (@superJackJR) November 26, 2021
If this is true, I say let him go to RM. Vlahovic would probably give City more bang for their buck and may end up being a better player for this squad.(his skill set and style fits perfectly)
Everything we’re looking for in a striker and no agent headache and obscene wage scale— CB (@Bum2879) November 26, 2021
