Totherham Hotspur forward Harry Kane accepts his failed move to Manchester City has been blamed for his struggles this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side did all they could to land Kane but Tottenham refused to negotiate blocking his dream move to the Etihad.
Levy stood firm on his £150million valuation and with no suitable alternative they decided to go into the season with Jack Grealish as their only senior addition.
Kane subsequently announced in August that he would be “staying at Tottenham this summer” and was “100% focused on helping the team achieve success”.
However, Since then, he has struggled to recapture his finest form for club and country, and has only scored one Premier League goal in ten appearances, looking out of sorts in the process.
But Kane has said he believes he has handled speculation over his future well despite the inconsistent start to the current campaign.
“There was a lot of talk over the summer. It is the first time in my career that has happened. That is part of being a big player, dealing with those situations and I think I dealt with it well.”
These Harry Kane’s comments were shared on Twitter by @City_Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters.
Scoring one goal in 10 Premier League games is an interesting way of coping with it well, but hey, fair play to Harry for backing himself. Wish I had that self-confidence https://t.co/ULQATS4Feg
