Report: Manchester City Told To Shell Out €70 Million For Striker target

Manchester City have been told they can have Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic in January – if they cough up £70 million.

The 21-year-old highly rated striker has been closely linked with a move to the Etihad in recent weeks as they continue to search for a new goalscorer.

Having failed to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer, Vlahovic has been regarded as a realistic alternative ahead of 2022.

The Serbian forward, who is who is attracting interest from nearly every top side on the planet, scored 21 goals last season, and has carried on his impressive form this term, with 15 more in 19 games.

And it appears Fiorentina have conceded the fact that they are going to lose out on their star forward. But with the player still having a contract until 2023, they seek to make the most of the situation financially.

According to The Sun, the Italian club have slapped a whopping €70 million price tag on Dusan Vlahovic who is a transfer target for Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

A move in January cannot be ruled out as Fiorentina looks to maximise profit on a player they signed for next to nothing back in 2018. He refused to sign a new €4m-a-year deal despite his current €800,000 salary.

Manchester City are unlikely to fork out €70 million for Vlahovic unless they once again miss out on Harry Kane and Haaland next summer
