Stuart Attwell will take charge of the match between Manchester City and Everton on Sunday afternoon, the Premier League has announced.

The reigning Premier League champions prepares to host Everton in their next Premier League match, as the Cityzens get ready to earn another 3 full points.

However, the Blues will not be satisfied with the referee who will manage the match. Ahead of Sunday’s match, the Premier League confirmed on their official website that the 39-year-old referee will officiate City’s match against Everton.

Attwell, who will be taking charge of his 146th Premier League match on Sunday, has taken charge of 10 matches already this year, showing 37 yellow cards and no red cards.

The 39-year-old last refereed a game involving City in May, when Joao Cancelo was controversially dismissed during a 3-2 defeat to Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.

Joining Attwell at the Etihad this weekend will be Assistant Referees Lee Betts and Harry Lennard, Video Assistant Referees Chris Kavanagh and Darren Cann and Craig Pawson the Fourth Official for Sunday’s match.

The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, with many not pleased with the decision.
