Ferran Torres has thanked Manchester City and the club’s fans for supporting him, and says he regrets that the pandemic tainted his time with the Premier League champions.
The 21-year-old returns to Spain, where he played for Valencia before joining City in the offseason of 2020 with a reputation of being one of Europe’s best young players.
Torres spent just 16 months at City, scoring 16 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions after signing from Valencia in the summer of 2020.
He was officially confirmed as a Barcelona player on Tuesday after City accepted a bid of €55 million with another €10m in add-ons to end his 18-month stay at the Etihad.
The Spaniard on Thursday, officially said farewell to Manchester with the following message …
