Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is keeping close tabs on Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg.
The Swedish midfielder is shining in Italy with three goals and one assist in 15 league games this season. A central midfielder by trade, he has made a solid impression with his work ethic in the middle of the park, coupled with his athleticism and versatility.
At just 22, Svanberg looks to have a huge future ahead of him. On Wednesday night, he scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 home win over Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester City are among the clubs monitoring the progress of Mattias Svanberg.

With a contract expiring in 2023, it remains to be seen whether the midfielder can convince the English champions to make an offer to sign him next summer.
The reigning English champions are in the market for new midfielders as Pep Guardiola prepares for life without the ageing Fernandinho.
Manchester City have been linked with a move for Toni Kroos and Frenkie de Jong, but the Barcelona superstar has no intention of joining the Citizens.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

He’s good but he isn’t city level

No clue who he is but I’m glad scouts are doing their jobs.

Svanberg is better than Frenkie

This is interesting. He could fit in pretty well in a similar role as Gündogan. The guy has a quality long shot too so with that against low blocks could be good. https://t.co/CxzBHw4eJl
