Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Ferran Torres has ‘agreed’ to a five-year contract with Barcelona with a lower salary.
Reports have emerged in recent days suggesting the Spanish international could well be tempted by a potential return to La Liga in the January window.
The Spanish press even insisted that Ferran Torres has an agreement with Barcelona and has received Pep Guardiola’s approval to leave the Etihad. It’s now down to two clubs to reach an agreement for the transfer.
The Catalan giants are looking into the possibility of signing the Manchester City forward, especially after the appointment of Xavi Hernandez.
However, the talks have not advanced yet, with the Premier League giants having no intention of selling their star player in January.
It is believed that Barca already have reached a total agreement with the ex-Valencia starlet, and according to Gerard Romero, Torres has given the ‘OK’ to Barcelona over a five-year contract and a lower salary than Man City.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
I very much doubt it Gerard unless Barca miraculously make some quick transfer sales to free up €70

There’s absolutely no way he’s going to take less pay, he’s just been voted Spain’s best forward & he’s on 40k pw. This Romero guy is taking 💩

Honestly it’s disappointing. Because Pep already gave him trust for the beginning of the season until he gets injury. And still he chose Barcelona.
So disappointed.

What a shame but if it means it will go towards the Haaland fund then so be it

If these rumours are indeed as true as they sound please don’t play uncommitted players Pep

There’s couple of positives from this, the number 21 will be vacant again, we have more room for another striker & the youth will get more game time.

Okay. Fine. €70m and we’ll pay for the flight.
We got bigger things to worry about… Like Haaland.
