Ferran Torres arrived at Barcelona for a medical on Monday morning ahead of his £55million switch to the Nou Camp once the January transfer window opens.

Last week, Manchester City sanctioned a £55m move for the young Spaniard, with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola unwilling to obstruct a move to Catalonia for the versatile forward capable of playing across the front three.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the paperwork to take the 21-year-old from the Premier League back to La Liga is now complete by both clubs.

Romano shared news of Torres’ arrival in Barcelona yesterday, adding that the ace will sign a five-year deal with the Blaugrana, joining for an initial fee of €55m in a deal that carries up to €10m in add-ons.

And on Monday morning he was snapped arriving at a Barcelona hospital to undergo a medical with his new club, as reporters and photographers swamped the talented youngster to catch a glimpse of him ahead of his move.

The same Spanish outlet as per Daily Mail reports that the move is set to be completed later today and Torres will be officially unveiled at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.

The Former City star is reported to have told fans in Spain that he is ‘very excited’ about completing his move to Catalonia, having pined for the move for some time now.

Torres has seen minimal action for Pep Guardiola’s current side this season, featuring just seven times as he’s slipped down the pecking order behind the likes of Jack Grealish and Phil Foden.

The young winger has shown serious promise since with City, but Torres has been restricted by a relative lack of action owing to the hugely talented squad that Guardiola has at his disposal.
