‘No thanks’, ‘Not an upgrade’, ‘How about scouting a striker?’ – Some Man City Fans react after hearing Fabrizio Romano’s claim

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of the club’s interest in a move for RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo should he become available.

The Spaniard never made it at Barcelona and discovered the essence of his career at Dinamo Zagreb and RB Leipzig. In the last couple of seasons, the highly-rated 23-year-old Spanish international has become a key part of the Bundesliga side.

Being a consistent performer for club and country has naturally attracted the attention of some big clubs who are considering a move for the attacker.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on the latest edition of the ‘Here We Go’ podcast, Manchester City have been sending scouts to take a look at one of Spanish football’s finest talents.

However, Fabrizio states that at the moment, there are no negotiations between the two clubs, despite the Spaniard being one of the players Man City are scouting.

Olmo has a contract until 2024 but RB Leipzig are aware interest from big clubs means they could eventually lose him. The La Masia graduate’s incredible versatility makes him an instant Pep Guardiola favourite on paper.

However, Ahead of Man City’s clash with RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, the media asked Guardiola questions over the links with Olmo. The manager set the record straight, denying any interest, although he praised the 23-year-old for his qualities.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
