Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s brother and agent Pere Guardiola will move to Sports Entertainment Group, the same party that represent Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag.

The 51-year-old AJax coach, who is one of the most in-demand managers in football, is reportedly said to be on the shortlist to replace Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, should the City boss step down.

The Spaniard is contracted at the Etihad Stadium until 2023 and could extend that, but expects to work elsewhere at some point in the future. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Guardiola and City, having previously led Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

According to the Athletic, Pere Guardiola – brother/representative of Pep Guardiola – will move to Sports Entertainment Group, with a deal set to be confirmed in a matter of days, a move that will bring Pep Guardiola and Ajax’s Erik Ten Hag under the same roof.

Ten Hag is viewed as one of the most progressive coaches in Europe after moulding a young Ajax side into Champions League competitors in 2019 and rebuilding the squad after his best players were snatched up by Europe’s elite.

Whilst the news might not seem to major on the surface, it has arisen speculation that Ten Hag could be a potential candidate to replace Guardiola to City one day in the future.

This move from Guardiola to move to the same agency as Ten Hag has got City fans on social media dreaming that the AJax coach could be the man to take over the Manchester giants in 2023.

Here’s what some City fans had to say on Twitter about Guardiola and Ten Hag being represented by the same agency…
