Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays another update on the club’s pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahovic.

Having missed out on a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane earlier this year, the Citizens are expected to spend big on a new centre-forward ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Serbian forward, who is who is attracting interest from nearly every top side on the planet, scored 21 goals last season, and has 15 in 17 already this term, further adding to his growing reputation across the continent.

Man City are one of a number of clubs to be credited with an interest in Vlahovic, and according to reports from Italy, the English champions are desperate to win the race for his signature, but face battle with Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Juventus.

Pep Guardiola is said to be ‘in love’ with the Serbian forward’s goal-scoring ability and the Premier League giants have begun preliminary talks with Fiorentina, according to La Repubblica.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport even reported on Saturday that the Premier League champions were the favourites to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness on Sunday, Manchester City are ‘ready to launch the attack’ for the signing of Vlahovic.

The ‘figures are being prepared’, with the Premier League champions aware that in order for Fiorentina to negotiate, a ‘definitely important proposal’ is needed.

The report also reiterates that Arsenal are interested in the 21-year-old and would be willing to match the asking price, but the player remains unconvinced by the North London sides footballing project.

It’s also been reported Vlahovic would ideally prefer a move to Italian giants Juventus. However, Fiorentina would like to avoid that scenario and are hoping that Manchester City do come to the table.

In light to the update, many Man City fans as usual have reacted – here are some of their responses.
