‘Actually ridiculous’, ‘has been superb no doubt’ – Some Liverpool fans wowed by Man City star’s display yesterday

Liverpool supporters praised Bernardo Silva after he scored a brace for Manchester City during their 3-1 win against Watford on Saturday.

Bernardo Silva has been standout player during the opening few months of the campaign, as City go in search of winning their fourth Premier League title under Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City made the most of Chelsea’s defeat at West Ham earlier in the day with a seventh straight win in all competitions, climbing back above Liverpool who had won 1-0 at Wolves to briefly reach the summit.

In-form Silva weaved past two defenders before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann to add to City’s advantage following Raheem Sterling’s opener.

The 27-year-old then followed that up with a clever curled effort into the top corner for his side’s third after the break.

It seems unthinkable that Bernardo Silva was at the brink at Manchester City in the summer transfer window and could have left the club. Now, it is hard to imagine a City starting lineup without him in it.

The Portuguese international produced a classy performance, with the finishes for both his goals being nothing short of magnificent.

At the same time, Silva also engineered a joint-game-high four key passes, and he also completed three tackles. There is no better all round performer in the game at the moment, as Silva continues his brilliant turnaround at Manchester City.

Liverpool fans, who have however made it clear that Silva’s number don’t touch those of Salah’s, think the Portuguese is unplayable at times.

This is what Liverpool fans had to say about Silva after his performance yesterday.
