‘Yess’, ‘Would love this’, ‘It’s a no brainer’ – Man City Fans react as Club eyes move for ‘perfect replacement for Ferran’

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays another update of the club’s interest in wantaway Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.

Joao Felix is looking for an escape route from his La Liga hell, according to reports. So far this season he has scored once and provided two assists in 12 appearances across all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side.

The Portuguese star became the Spanish club’s most expensive ever signing when he arrived in a €126 million transfer from Benfica back in 2019.

But he’s struggled to live up to expectations and has been ravaged by injuries during his two-and-a-half-year stint at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Despite his struggles in the Spanish capital outfit, Felix still has plenty of suitors, and Fichajes on Tuesday reported that City were among the clubs in contention to sign the Portuguese forward.

Felix is under contract at the Wanda Metropolitano until the summer of 2026, so Atletico are not even remotely worried about losing him as it stands, but Felix’s agents are working on finding a way to get the forward out of the club.

According to the latest report from calciomercato.com, Jorge Mendes has been in contact with Man City ‘for days’, with the goal of bringing Joao Felix to the club from Atletico Madrid.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City fans.
