Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is close to selling 19-year-old academy talent Oscar Tarensi.
Tarensi was part of the squad that won last season’s Premier League 2 title along with the likes of Cole Palmar, James McAtee and Liam Delap.
According to Mundo Deportivo via Sports Illustrated, City have reached a deal with their sister club to allow the defender to return to his home country.
Tarensi, who was signed by Pep Guardiola just over three years ago, has failed to play a single first-team minute for City despite his promising reputation and the club’s lack of options in the left-back position.
Bouncing between the U-23s and U-18s, though, it makes sense why City have decided to sell Tarensi this window, especially to Girona, who are part of the City Football Group umbrella.
In reaction to the news shared by City Xtra, some Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
