Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Real Madrid are in the race to sign Pedro Porro this summer.

The 22-year-old Spanish international is currently enjoying the second part of his two-year loan spell with Sporting. Porro joined City from Girona in 2019 and has yet to feature for the Sky Blues.

Sporting have the option of signing Porro on a permanent deal this year, and the Portuguese giants are said to be determined to keep hold of the Spain international.

Sporting are reportedly working to use their €8.5M buy option on Pedro Porro and are closing in on his signature, but the two clubs are negotiating a buyback fee.

Although Sporting are working to sign the Man City owned player on a permanent deal, his future could be away from the Portuguese club

According to newspaper Correio da Manhã today as relayed by Sport Witness, Real Madrid have ‘re-entered’ the battle for Pedro Porro, competing with the likes of Atletico, Barcelona and Bayern.

The report claims that there’s a heavy auction waiting for Pedro Porro this summer, with Sporting willing to make ‘a minimum’ of €30M (£25m), with a sale.
