Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have identify Chelsea’s Reece James as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
The 22-year-old has arguably been one Chelsea’s best players this season and already has five goals and six assists in the Premier League this season so far, the second-highest in terms of goal contributions after fellow academy graduate Mason Mount.
With sanctions imposed by the UK Government on Chelsea creating lots of uncertainty, there are a few players who could force an exit, and Reece is one of them according to an emerging report.
According to Daily Mail Sport, Manchester City have identified Reece James as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker, with the 22-year-old’s contract renewal, on much improved terms, set to be put on hold.
Reece has been linked with a move to the Etihad with Pep Guardiola reported to be a huge admirer of the €55m-rated England international.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
