‘Toughest month ever’, ‘I’m nervous’ – Man City fans react to April fixture list with two Liverpool games

Plenty of Manchester City fans have been reacting to the club’s April fixture list, which could decide the destiny of multiple trophies.

Pep Guardiola’s side have got a crucial run of fixtures coming up in April, the eight games currently scheduled for next month will be season-defining.

The Premier League leaders have four tough games against two top teams in 11-day stretch, which will either see them inconceivably end the season trophy-less, or keep alive the hunt for an historic treble.

City host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals on April 5, with the club desperate to go one better than last year’s final defeat to Chelsea.

But if they do get the two-legged tie off to the perfect start at the Etihad there will be no time for celebrations.

That’s because title rivals Liverpool come to town just five days later – in a game which could decide whether the Premier League trophy has sky blue or red ribbons on it this year.

Liverpool are just a point behind City in the table, and would leapfrog the current leaders with a win in Manchester on April 10.

If City win that game, at home, and the title is likely to be heading to Manchester for a second consecutive year.
