’50 million+ take it or leave it’, ‘Nothing less’ – Many Man City fans name their price as European clubs keen on signing star forward

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona and Juventus have both made ‘enquiries’ to sign Gabriel Jesus.

With rumours continuing to swirl surrounding Manchester City’s interest in Erling Haaland, the future of Gabriel Jesus have been thrown into major doubt.

The 25-year-old forward – despite having such a promising start to the campaign – has found minutes hard to come by as of late.

The €50m-rated star hasn’t cemented his place in the Man City team this season, with Pep Guardiola often opting for a false nine rather than an out and out striker. He has struggled this season, scoring just three goals.

As a result, the Brazilian continues to be linked with a summer move away from the Etihad Stadium, with Brazilian outlet Lance reported recently that Jesus is set to look for a move away this summer.

Jesus’ current Manchester City contract is set to end in the summer of 2023, but as he enters the final 12 months of that deal this summer, clubs around European could look to swoop in for the 25-year-old at a discounted price.

According to a new report from the Brazilian outlet Lance as relayed by Sport Witness, Barcelona and Juventus have both made ‘enquiries’ to sign Gabriel Jesus from Man City, even though there are no further details on which of them would be closer on signing him.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the speculation.

“I’d love him to stay but he deserves to play regularly somewhere.”

“ultimately he’s already got minimal gametime this season already, with Haaland likely coming and Alvarez defo coming his game time will continue to decrease, love the man but I won’t be opposed to the sale.”

“I’ll always appreciate what Jesus has done for us, and I’ll always remember his header vs Real Madrid. His exit makes sense with Alvarez and Haaland coming and City already having an abundance of wingers. Whoever offers the most I guess.”

“Feel bad to see him leave. However, this must be on real profit. We bought him for £26m back in 2016. This must be a £50m sale at least..”

“Ask 50m and allow them to pay it within 3 years time.”

“55-60M minimum, gonna miss him so much but its almost inevitable that’s he gonna leave. One of Jesus/Sterling 100% gone.”

“Jesus is exactly what City should be about. Great prospect with huge potential. He didn’t meet the super high expectations we all had for him but he still a great player.”
