Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Taylor Harwood-Bellis is wanted by Vincent Kompany at Burnley.
Harwood-Bellis linked up with the former Belgium international at Anderlecht at the start of last season on loan but returned to England after becoming unsettled. He later went on to join Stoke City for the remainder of the campaign where he was a mainstay in the heart of the defence.
Now, the England under 21’s captain is looking for the next move in his career and the Clarets are reportedly interested in his services according to the Sun as Kompany’s first signing as his appointment at Turf Moor draws closer.
It is reported that Harwood-Bellis recently purchased a new home in Cheshire and may be tempted by a move that keeps him in the North West.
The Clarets aren’t the only side interested in a move for the England youth international with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic also reported to have him on their list of targets.
Harwood-Bellis spent a period on loan at Blackburn Rovers under Tony Mowbray in the 2020/21 season and a move to Turf Moor would see him face off against his former club and Burnley’s arch rivals in the Championship next season.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“Harwood-Bellis would be a great loan. He played with a championship team Stoke last season. He has already gotten the needed experience. With the style of play (Burney)….his defensive role will be improved massively..”

“Nice and close. Not far to travel when the Etihad call comes for both of them to return home in the future..”

“Yeah I am ok with that as long as he plays regularly which I don’t think he will at Burnley. Callum Doyle and Hardwood-Bellis need to play regularly to develop. Good talents..”
