‘Lovely!’, ‘Sterling replacement most likely’ – Man City fans excited by Pep Guardiola’s Jame McAtee plan

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Jame McAtee is expecting to be involved the first-team this season.

The 19-year-old, who hails from Salford has been on the books at Manchester City for his whole career to date and has risen up through the academy ranks of the North West giants.

The attacking midfielder, who is being tipped for a bright future in the game by the current Premier League table toppers, is attracting Championship interest ahead of next season.

Pep Guardiola’s side have a big decision to make on his future amid interest from the Football League this summer.

According to The Athletic’s City correspondent Sam Lee, several clubs would like to sign him, but both McAtee and Man City are expecting first-team involvement next season.

The report claims James McAtee is more likely to be introduced to the Man City first-team in a wide role.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
