The 21-year-old defender is under contract at Manchester City until 2025 but has been linked with a move away from the Etihad on a permanent deal, with many Premier League sides including Nottingham Forest said to be interested.
According to Journalist Santi Aouna via Foot Mercato, Olympique Marseille and Man City have reached an agreement on a loan deal with option to buy for Issa Kaboré.
As per the report, the right-back is due to arrive at Marseille in the coming hours to complete a medical ahead of a move away from Manchester City.
Kabore did impress with ESTAC Troyes last season and this step up in prestige could serve him really well. City would be wise to keep him in the long run.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters. Take a look at what fans have been saying on Twitter.
“Option to buy? Didn’t they reject offer from Forrest for £17 million”
“We will regret this one.”
“Why even entertain the possibility of selling him? I don’t get it.”
“We have to be more careful selling young talents.”
“Option to buy uno. They rejected straight cash of 20M from Forest but accepted the same with a loan deal. Pathetic.”
