‘Option to buy?’, ‘We will regret this one’ – Man City fans react as youngster set for medical in coming hours ahead of move away

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Issa Kabore is due to arrive at Marseille in the coming hours to complete a medical.

The 21-year-old defender is under contract at Manchester City until 2025 but has been linked with a move away from the Etihad on a permanent deal, with many Premier League sides including Nottingham Forest said to be interested.

Issa Kabore has been linked with a move to Marseille in recent weeks and according to recent reports, he is now set to join the Ligue 1 club on loan with a buyback option of around €20M.

According to Journalist Santi Aouna via Foot Mercato, Olympique Marseille and Man City have reached an agreement on a loan deal with option to buy for Issa Kaboré.

As per the report, the right-back is due to arrive at Marseille in the coming hours to complete a medical ahead of a move away from Manchester City.

Kabore did impress with ESTAC Troyes last season and this step up in prestige could serve him really well. City would be wise to keep him in the long run.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters. Take a look at what fans have been saying on Twitter.
