Former Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero provided his thoughts on Bernardo Silva’s potential move to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with the Portuguese midfielder in recent weeks, and there were reports earlier this week that they had agreed a £46million fee with City for his services, but this has subsequently been denied by the English side.
The former Man City and Barcelona striker has claimed that Silva would be a major part of Xavi’s plans if he does move to the Nou Camp.
‘Bernardo is a great player. He carries the ball, he sacrifices, has quality to assist and score goals and he can play in different positions,’ Aguero told Stake, as quoted by Goal.
‘It would surprise me if City let him go. He is a player who contributes a lot every season, but everything is possible.
‘If he finally arrives at Barca, then he will be someone who can be key to the possession game that Xavi likes.’
These Aguero’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
He’s right📌💙
